Our Circle of Re-Creation features a labyrinth that is offered to church and community members, for renewal, re-creation, and respite. Our twenty-four foot canvas labyrinth offers a walking path that is used for a variety of intentions. The labyrinth has been found to support emotional well-being, contribute to spiritual formation, relieve stress, and promote balance within individuals and among families. The labyrinth, often featured in special church programs, is also available by at designated times, for use by individuals and groups within the community. Ham DinnersTwice annually, we are pleased to dish up a family-style meal featuring a menu of ham, with our signature raisin sauce, buttered and parsley potatoes, mixed veggies and a delicious selection of pies.
Our Ham Dinners draw a crowd! This activity brings our congregation together as all ages pitch in to cook and serve this meal. It is also a fundraiser that helps us sustain our vital ministries and mission.
Mothers of College Students are invited to take part in the College Moms group of the First Presbyterian Church.
As college students experience new achievements, take new steps toward independence, and encounter new relationships and new problems, the lives of their moms are affected as well.
The group meets several times during the school year, usually in the home of a host mom. It is a source of support and encouragement for mothers, in the shifting roles and responsibilities that come with being the mother of a college student.
Trash or Treasure Sales Fall and Spring are typically the seasons for cleaning out the closets, cupboards, basement, and garage for that gently used clothing and those no-longer-needed household goods and furnishings that could be used by others.
Our June and November Trash or Treasure Sales offer an impressive array of goods for bargain-hunters.
We welcome donations of items to be sold. Proceeds benefit the church.
Friends for Fellowship Friends for Fellowship is a group of ladies numbering from 3 to 11 at different times, usually meeting once a month. We welcome all ladies to the group at any time. Discussions are varied, concerns noted, plans for activities are made and suggestions offered. Because of the donations given for the Ham Dinners, the contributions for the rummage sales and the great help given during both of these activities, the group is able to contribute financially to the church.
